Shunned at a Funeral is a boundary-pushing music project that explores the intersection of sound, story, and imagination. The personas and visuals associated with the band are part of a curated artistic narrative meant to stir emotion, reflection, and faith. These portrayals are fictional in nature and do not represent real individuals.

Our founder has been playing guitar for over 27 years. Because of a visual impairment, he can no longer perform live—but Shunned at a Funeral became the way God opened a new door. It’s his outlet, his way to keep creating music that glorifies the Lord even when the stage lights went dark. When God said, “Who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Is it not I, the Lord?” (Exodus 4:11), He reminded us that our limitations are not excuses—they’re invitations to trust Him more deeply. This project is born from that very truth: we don’t stop glorifying God because something gets hard. We overcome and find other ways to praise Him.

Every song, lyric, and arrangement is crafted by human hands and hearts—authentic, prayerful, and intentional. Modern technology simply helps bring that human creativity to life. Nothing here is automated faith; it’s all real expression from real people who love Christ and want their music to reflect His glory, not their own.

At its heart, Shunned at a Funeral exists to glorify God, not the musicians behind it. Christian music should always point to Him, not us—and every part of this project strives to do just that through storytelling, sound, and truth.

At this time, Shunned at a Funeral does not have an official lineup of live musicians. We’re in the process of assembling a team to bring these songs to the stage. Until then, what you hear represents the studio vision—the creative heart of the project.

Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. By engaging with Shunned at a Funeral, listeners enter a space of stylized expression where characters, imagery, and music all serve a greater purpose: to glorify God and speak honestly about the human condition.
